Eking out a living from selling bread, milk, eggs, and newspapers the once common sight of the local corner store is becoming increasingly rare. Competition from big supermarkets rings the death knell for these amazing small businesses. Not long after this image was taken, the Cypress street store, closed its doors for the last time.
